Silver Alert issued for 79-year-old woman last seen in east Austin
AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Silver Alert was issued for a 79-year-old woman who was last seen in east Austin Saturday afternoon, according to the Austin Police Department.

Marie Jervis was last seen around 2:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Broadmoor Drive, which is near Cameron Road. Jervis has “a cognitive impairment,” and she only speaks Spanish. She was described by police as a Black woman, with brown eyes, purple hair and weighs 150 pounds.

Jervis was last seen wearing gold hoop earrings, a gold necklace, a cheetah print knee-length dress and grey/white Jordan slides, police said.

“Law enforcement officials believe this person’s disappearance poses a credible threat to their own health and safety,” police said.
