
According to Chicago police, 14-year-old Shaneyshka Alvarez-Abelo was last seen around 11:55 p.m. on Thursday night after she left her home in the 5100 block of West Drummond Place in Belmont Cragin.
Officers described the missing teen as an “endangered juvenile,” though it is unclear exactly why.
The missing teen, who stands 5-foot-8 and weighs between 140 and 155 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.
Additionally, the teen is known to have scars on her lower left arm and lower left leg.
Police offered details about the teen’s disappearance in a news release shared on Friday afternoon, but officers did not say what she was last seen wearing.
