Man killed in Vallejo hit-and-run: PD

(KRON) — A man was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle in a hit-and-run near the intersection of Sonoma Boulevard and Missouri Street in Vallejo around 12:28 a.m. Saturday, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

The victim was unresponsive, lying in the roadway when officers and paramedics arrived at the scene. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead by paramedics.

“Preliminary investigation by the VPD Traffic Division indicates the victim was struck by a vehicle whose driver failed to remain at the scene,” VPD said.

The suspected hit-and-run is the 10th traffic death in Vallejo this year. The identity of the victim is being withheld from the public until their family is notified.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Vallejo PD.
