Police say the fire happened in the early morning hours of August 3, 2025, at 2512 Highland Avenue. When members of the Shreveport Fire Department arrived just after 1 a.m., they found a home fully engulfed in flames.
Emerson was detained on the scene, and a joint investigation between SFD and SPD determined that he set the fire intentionally. Police also found that he had a stolen firearm at the time of his arrest.
He was booked into Shreveport City Jail on one count of aggravated arson and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.
The Rockford Fire Department is investigating a structure fire that occurred Saturday morning.
