IMPD: 1 critically injured in shooting on east side of Indianapolis

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3700 block of North Mitthoefer Road around 6:45 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they located an adult male victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

IMPD has confirmed that the victim was transported from the scene to an area hospital in critical condition. It is currently unknown if police detained any suspects or persons of interest during their investigation of the shooting.
