ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — Crews in Arlington were working to make repairs to a 20-inch water main that broke Saturday afternoon, impacting traffic in the area.

In a post on the X platform just before 4 p.m., the Arlington Department of Environmental Services said crews were conducting emergency repairs on the broken feeder main at the intersection of Columbia Pike and S Dinwiddie Street.

According to the department, about 100 customers could be impacted by the break.

While crews make the repairs, police said S. Dinwiddie Street is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 8th Road. S. to Columbia Pike. Repairs should be completed by 2 a.m., officials noted.
