Prosecutors from Sonoma, San Diego, San Bernardino, and Santa Clara counties alleged Walmart charged some customers more than the lowest posted or advertised price.
They also claimed some weighed products, including produce, baked goods, and prepared foods, had less in the package than the label claimed.
The settlement includes an injunction prohibiting false or misleading advertising and requires Walmart to improve price accuracy oversight in California stores, according to a press release Friday.
Consumers can report overcharges by calling (707) 565-2371.
