Wasco County wildfire near The Dalles prompts Level 3 ‘Go Now’ evacuations

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A wildfire just south of The Dalles in Wasco County has prompted Level 3 “Go Now” evacuations.

The Level 3 evacuations are for those from the west side of Steel Rd. to Hwy 197 to Five Mile Rd, according to the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office.

Level 2 “Get Set” orders are for residents located on the Old Dufur Hwy 197 intersection to Eightmile Rd. to Emerson Loop Rd. to the Eightmile/Hwy 197 intersections, officials say.

Residents located south of Five Mile Rd. to Hwy 197/Five Mile Rd. intersection to the intersection of Eightmile Rd and Hwy 197 to Japanese Hollow are also under Level 2 orders, according to WCSO.
