Increased rent and continuous break-ins were cited as the reasons for the closure. Tiger Tea said the two factors made it “unsustainable” for the business to run. “Despite our best efforts, we no longer see a viable path forward for this store,” said Tiger Tea.
Tiger Tea & Juice thanked its patrons for their “loyalty, encouragement, and kindness.”
“This shop holds countless memories—of first-time visitors who became regulars, of laughter shared over drinks, and of the friendships that blossomed within these walls,” the tea shop said on its social media.
Established in the San Francisco Bay Area, the tea shop has been operating for a decade. Per Tiger Tea & Juice’s, its beverages are sourced from “the finest teas” worldwide without any artificial colors or flavors.
The tea shop confirms that patrons who have unused store credit or gift cards should contact the company, and they can transfer or refund the credits.
Tiger Tea & Juice currently has locations in Daly City, Burlingame, and San Mateo.
