According to WDRB, the FOX affiliate in Louisville, Louisville police were called around 9:30 a.m., where an injured woman was found at the PNC Bank at the 8000 block of Shelbyville Road near the Oxmoor Center.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said that a man broke into her home and drove her and two children to the bank. While inside, the man demanded cash while armed with a knife before fleeing from the bank.
Officials said the woman was assaulted during the robbery, but her wounds weren’t life-threatening, and the children were unharmed.
On Facebook, LMPD released images around 11:40 a.m. of a man who was seen on surveillance footage wearing a white jacket pulled over his head. In the images, he is also seen wearing white shorts and sneakers while running from the scene.
“We are looking for this male who was last seen on foot in the area. If you see him call 911. DO NOT APPROACH,” LMPD wrote on Facebook while urging the public to exercise caution.
