Healthnet called after 2 fall about 20 feet in Wood County

WALKER, W.Va. (WBOY) — 911 officials in Wood County have confirmed to 12 News that Healthnet was called Thursday night after two people reportedly fell about 20 feet in a rural part of the county.

Details are limited at this time, but according to Wood County 911, at 8:18 p.m., dispatch was alerted via Text to 911 that two people had fallen in the area of Eaton’s Tunnel along the North Bend Rail Trail.

911 officials could not confirm any specific details about the victims’ identities to 12 News, but did confirm that Healthnet was called, and crews were still on the scene as of 10:10 p.m.

Crews with the Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department, Deerwalk Volunteer Fire Department, Camden Clark EMS and Ritchie County EMS responded to the call.
