CHICAGO (WGN) — Two groping incidents at West Ridge Nature Park have prompted an alert from the area Ward Office.

The 40th Ward Office on Thursday shared that it had been notified of two incidents this week involving a man approaching women in West Ridge Nature Park.

According to the office, police are investigating after the man allegedly followed the woman and inappropriately touched them. As a result, West Ridge Nature Park will have additional police presence and surveillance.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and call 911 if they fear for their safety.

West Ridge Nature Park is located at 5801 N. Western Avenue in the city’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.
