BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two juveniles, ages 12 and 14, are in custody as part of an ongoing investigation into a string of vehicle burglaries in Walker.
According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO), multiple burglaries occurred between Monday, Aug. 4, and Thursday, Aug. 7, near Ball Park Road and in the Meadow Crossing Subdivision. Investigators believe the incidents happened late at night or in the early morning hours.
As the investigation progressed, detectives identified the pair as suspects. Search warrants were obtained for the homes where they were staying, leading to the discovery of a gun on each juvenile and “items belonging to several of the victims,” Sheriff Jason Ard said.
Both suspects were booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. Each faces one count of possession of a firearm by a juvenile and ten counts of vehicle burglary. LPSO said more charges are possible.

“Burglary Detectives believe more victims are out there,” Ard said. “We’re asking residents in Meadow Crossing to reach out if they believe they were also targeted by these suspects. Our investigation continues.”
Anyone who believes they were a victim between Aug. 4 and Aug. 7 should call 225-686-2241 x1 or submit a tip through the LPSO app. The Walker Police Department assisted LPSO in the case.
