According to information from Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander, the investigation began June 27 when a deputy responded to a residence for a verbal domestic dispute in which the minor female was the victim. During the investigation, the victim told the deputy about a sexual relationship with Heinen that had been going on for approximately four years. Heinen is in a relationship with a relative of the victim.
During an interview with investigators, Heinen admitted to assaulting the victim multiple times per week for the past year, but denied engaging in intercourse.
Sheriff Alexander says the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
