CICERO, Ill. — A Cicero man is facing several felony charges, including kidnapping and predatory sexual assault, in connection with a domestic incident that unfolded inside a western suburban home last week.

According to officials from the Town of Cicero, 35-year-old Humberto Guardado has been charged with predatory criminal sexual assault, kidnapping, aggravated domestic battery, and resisting arrest.

Officials said the charges stem from Guardado’s alleged role in a domestic incident that occurred just before 3 a.m. inside a home in the 1600 block of South 57th Court in Cicero on Wednesday, July 30.

Police were first called to the home that morning following a report of a domestic incident.

After an investigation, officers took Guardado into custody for domestic battery, but officials said further investigation later uncovered additional alleged crimes related to the incident.

Officials have not provided details on what led to the additional charges.

Humberto Guardado is currently being held in the Cook County Jail and is set to appear in court Friday.
