The first episodes of Wednesday season 2 have officially arrived on Netflix and LEGO has taken this opportunity to announce two more sets for the franchise. Morticia’s Cottage and Thing’s Apartment will be getting the LEGO treatment, and both sets will be available on October 1. That’s a full month after the release of more episodes of the series, which will be arriving on September 3, 2025. You can check out IGN’s review of part one for our thoughts on the new season.
These aren’t the first LEGO Wednesday sets we’ve gotten as last year saw the release of a full line of new builds from season 1. There was also the new Black Dahlia set that came out earlier this month alongside all of the new LEGO releases for August. Neither of the new sets are available to preorder yet, but you can see more details directly from the LEGO website.
The most notable thing about both of these sets are the price points. Morticia’s Cottage will be the most expensive LEGO Wednesday set released so far at $109.99 and the Thing’s Apartment set matches the most expensive build that was released last year at $89.99. However, they are also going to be the two biggest sets in the series, with the previous high being the 750-piece Dorm Room set.
The higher price points and difficulty levels seemingly align with LEGO’s move toward more adult-friendly sets. The most recent Netflix One Piece sets that just came out took a similar approach by having larger builds that are somewhere between a playset and a display model. Considering all of the previous LEGO Wednesday sets seemed more targeted at kids, this is a welcome change for any adult fans of the show who want to add a LEGO collectible to their shelves.
Both of the new sets come with minidolls, rather than minifigures, which look more like the actual characters than traditional minifigs would. Of the two sets, I’m most intrigued by Things Apartment, which brings the first true Thing build into the LEGO universe. The set itself also functions as a chest that can be open or closed depending on what you’re looking for. All-in-all, it looks like a pretty awesome build for anyone who loves The Addams Family outside of the newer Netflix series.
LEGO has been announcing new sets left and right and we’ve been covering the biggest ones so far. Some of the notable upcoming releases include the LEGO Game Boy set that is also arriving in September as well as more LEGO Wicked sets coming in September. We’ve got a list of some of the most popular new sets you can buy or preorder as of August 2025.
