Abilene’s Flying Bison mascot seeks high-five world record

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KBRC) – Did you know the high five was invented nearly 50 years ago? Now, the Flying Bison are trying to take it to the next level by breaking a world record.

The current Guinness World Record for most high fives by a mascot in one minute was set in 2019 by a mascot in Japan, with 205 high fives. But Bomber, the Flying Bison mascot, is looking to beat that.

In a recent attempt, Bomber dished out nearly 300 high fives in under a minute!

While the attempt is impressive, it’s still unofficial. The team will need to submit the effort to Guinness for review and verification.
