FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — 7 Brew, the drive-thru coffee giant, is giving back to the Kentucky communities it fuels.

The coffee shop just opened its Somerset location, kicking it off with a “pay what you want” weekend. All proceeds were set aside for the Team Kentucky Storm Relief Fund.

Its London and Bowling Green locations also hosted similar events to benefit the cause, raising $30,000.

“7 Brew’s generous donation shows the true spirit of Team Kentucky of neighbors helping neighbors,” said Gov. Andy Beshear. “Thanks to contributions like this to the storm relief fund, we are helping survivors reclaim their lives and build stronger, more resilient communities.”

The 7 Brew team presented the $30,000 check to the governor during Thursday’s Team Kentucky update.

“At 7 Brew, we believe in giving back to the communities we join, and as soon as we saw the devastation from the May tornado, we knew we wanted to jump into action,” said Ralph Cole, franchisee of 7 Brew Somerset. “We’re honored to partner with Gov. Beshear and the Team Kentucky Storm Relief Fund to pour back into our community and help our fellow Kentuckians begin to rebuild.”

The Somerset location brings around 50 jobs to the area. For more information on how to get involved, click here.
