31st annual Texans Caring For Texans state employee recognition ceremony in August
CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Texans Caring for Texans will host its 31st annual state employee recognition ceremony on Aug. 8 at the Legacy Hall in the Jack B. Kelley Student Center on the campus of West Texas A&M University.

According to officials, the ceremony will have a welcome from Erica McDowell, Assistant Chief, Region 1 for the Texas Division of Emergency Management, and a keynote address by West Texas A&M University President Dr. Walter Wendler.

Officials noted that the agencies represented at the ceremony include:

  • Amarillo College
  • Clarendon College
  • Texas A&M AgriLife
  • Texas A&M Forest Service
  • Texas Department of Criminal Justice (Clements, Dalhart, Jordan, Mechler, Montford, Roach units)
  • Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
  • Texas Health and Human Services
  • Texas Department of Public Safety
  • Texas Department of State Health Services
  • Texas Department of Transportation (Amarillo and Childress districts)
  • Texas Division of Emergency Management
  • Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
  • Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s Schools of Medicine and Nursing
  • West Texas A&M University
