WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4) — A man living in West Valley City has been charged after allegedly leasing his apartment to women who were using it for prostitution.
Jeimer Jesus Villalobos, 22, was charged today with exploitation of prostitution, a third-degree felony, and aiding prostitution, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to court documents, a detective with the West Valley City Police Department (WVCPD) observed a woman posting ads for “the solicitation of sexual services in Salt Lake County” on March 7, 2025. The detective sent a text to the phone number provided and asked about prices.
Someone texted back with the number, informing the detective of the prices. The detective asked where he could go to meet for the sexual services, and the address of an apartment in West Valley City was provided. Through the apartment building’s manager, the detective learned that Villalobos lived in the apartment.
A few weeks later, on March 25, the detective found an ad for a different woman, also offering sexual services. He texted the phone number and was provided the same address in West Valley City as a meeting place. At that time, Villalobos was evicted from the apartment complex.
The WVCPD detective observed that the same ads were being posted, this time at a different address. A search warrant was served on the new address, and officers located Villalobos inside. He allegedly stated that he was leasing the first apartment to women whom he knew were using it for prostitution, and that they were paying him to live there.
Villalobos also told police that he sometimes assisted in transporting the women, according to court documents. He was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail in April, but was later released.
