Train collides with semi-truck in Hogansville

HOGANSVILLE, Ga. (WRBL) — A train collided with a semi-truck that was stuck on the railroad tracks in Hogansville Wednesday morning, authorities say.

The Hogansville Police Department said the incident occurred at 8:19 a.m. at the intersection of Johnson Street and Highway 29.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Police say a significant amount of debris from the cargo is scattered across the surrounding area and an extensive clean-up effort is now underway. The clean-up is expected to take up to several hours. Drivers are advised to stay clear of the area and seek alternate routes.
