ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A suspect has been arrested after a teen was injured during a domestic disturbance in north Abilene Tuesday night.
Phillip Johnson, 38, was booked into the Taylor County Jail for Assault Family Violence in connection to an incident that happened at an apartment on the 2900 block of Old Anson Road.
Officers were initially called to a disturbance at the apartment, and when they arrived on scene and spoke with an adult resident of the apartment, he reported there was no disturbance, so they left.
However, police say officers went back over to the apartment a second time when someone else called to report there was video evidence of the domestic disturbance.
Detectives with the Special Victims Unit arrived and conducted an investigation, which led to Johnson’s arrest.
A 15-year-old juvenile was injured during the disturbance but additional information on what happened or this juvenile’s condition will not be disclosed due to their age.
Johnson is currently being held in the Taylor County Jail.
