On Sunday, August 3, 28-year-old Raequan Lameek Ratliff allegedly shot and killed 36-year-old Wendell Robinson Jr. outside a home in Ellerbe.
After the fatal shooting, officials said Ratliff fired shots into parked vehicles at the Ellerbe Manor Apartment Complex. After that, he allegedly went to Sallie Goins Hill Road, where he fired shots into a home where a family of three lives. Deputies did not say if anyone was injured in those shootings.
Investigators identified Ratliff as a suspect in the shootings, who was found to have fled to Rowan County on Monday.
Arrest records show Ratliff was booked into the Richmond County Jail without bond late Tuesday night. He’s charged with:
