GIRARDVILLE – A 10-year-old girl was taken to an area hospital after state troopers say she was struck by a pickup truck while riding her bike.
This happened around 5:45pm Monday on North William Street at West Oak Street in Girardville.
State Police at Frackville said Kelly Deiter, 57, of Girardville, stopped at a stop sign as she drove a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado along West Oak Street.
Troopers said she proceeded from the stop without clearance and struck a 10-year-old girl who was riding a bicycle.
The girl was taken to an area hospital by an Ashland ambulance.
Deiter was cited for the crash.
