Rochelle driver, 76, hospitalized after crash

ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO) — A 76-year-old driver was hospitalized late Monday after possibly suffering a medical episode on the road and crashing into a ditch, authorities said.

The Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to South Queens Road and East Flagg Road, in rural Rochelle, around 10:16 p.m. and found the disabled vehicle.

Gae Schabacker, of Rochelle, was rushed to a local hospital for suffering a what authorities described as “minor injuries.”

The Rochelle Fire Department assisted police at the scene.
