Mills Pool Closed for the Season; Bryan Park Pool Open Weekends through Labor Day
Community Foundation Switchyard Plaza Spray Pad Open through Sept. 30
Bloomington, Ind.–Mills Pool, located at 1100 W. 14th St., is closed for the 2025 season.
Bryan Park Pool, 1020 S. Woodlawn Ave., remains open weekends only, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays beginning Aug. 4. The pool closes for the season at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1. Admission is $7 per person.
The Community Foundation Switchyard Plaza Spray Pad at Switchyard Park, 1601 S. Rogers St., is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sept. 1. Beginning Sept. 2 through Sept. 30, the spray pad is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
Parks and Recreation partnered with the City’s Economic and Sustainable Development Department to host “Stay Cool Bloomington Days”, which offered free pool admission on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays this summer when the AccuWeather RealFeel® temperature forecast reached 90 degrees or higher in Bloomington. A total of 17 Stay Cool Bloomington Days brought 16,881 swimmers to Bryan Park and Mills pools. The Stay Cool Bloomington program concluded Aug. 3.
Although Mills Pool is closed to humans for the season, it will host Drool in the Pool, a dog swimming event, on Aug. 6 and 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is $5 per dog.
A special V.I.P. (Very Important Pup) Hour is offered each evening from 4 to 5 p.m. for pre-registered participants. Registration is $30 per dog and includes a wag bag with toys and treats, early entry to the pool, and access to digital photos taken by an onsite photographer. Registration for the V.I.P. Hour closes Aug. 5.
