Police seek information on whereabouts of missing woman who suffers from schizophrenia
CHICAGO — Police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a woman who officers say has been missing for over a week and suffers from schizophrenia.

Chicago police say a search is underway for 47-year-old Sandra Adams, who has been missing since Sunday, July 26.

According to officers, Adams was last spotted around 10 a.m. that day near the intersection of East 71st Street and South Jeffery Boulevard, in South Shore on the city’s South Side.

Officers said Adams is known to frequent areas along East 71st Street, between South King Drive and South Chicago Avenue, but may also be in an area along 79th Street in the 4th police District.

Adams, who has brown eyes and black hair, stands either 5-foot-1 or 5-foot-2 and weighs between 130 and 140 pounds.

She was last spotted wearing a white shirt, blue shorts and Nike shoes.

Officers say the missing woman suffers from schizophrenia and is known to have a tattoo of an “s” on one of her ankles, along with a squiggly line.
