The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCOS) said on Aug. 2, deputies responded to Payne’s Lane after a resident made a report about an osprey that looked hurt.
The resident said the osprey had not moved for a couple of days.
SCSO said deputies found the osprey sitting “hawkwardly” by the creek.
The osprey was found to have an injured wing, and it was taken to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center for rehabilitation.
