Adams, a University of Mississippi football player, was shot and killed at a pool party in Cordova after gunfire rang out. Police say four others were injured.
On July 19, police say it started when they responded to a call on Fern Glade Cove in Cordova at 10:14 p.m.
When they arrived at the intersection of Forrest-Hill Irene, and Walnut Grove, they stopped a car and found a victim wounded from a gunshot. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The four other victims were taken to local hospitals in the area by personal vehicles in non-critical condition.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported that more than 40 rifle and pistol shell casings were found at a residence near the house.
CrimeStoppers received a $6,000 donation from an anonymous source, and that amount was added to the $4,000 reward that CrimeStoppers typically pays for information regarding a crime.
That brings the total reward amount to $10,000.
David Wayne Brown, the executive director of CrimeStoppers, said in a press release, “In virtually every case, at least one person knows enough information that could help investigators make an arrest.”
“We simply ask that someone contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274) and provide information that will make him or her eligible for the extraordinary award.”
