Rapper Soulja Boy arrested on suspicion of being in possession of firearm in Los Angeles

(FOX40.COM) — DeAndre Cortez Way, who is known by his stage name “Soulja Boy”, was arrested after a traffic stop in Los Angeles on early Sunday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop at around 2:35 a.m. on Melrose and North Genesse Avenue. Officers did not share any details as to why they pulled him over.

LAPD said Way was arrested on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

At this time, it is unknown if there is any bail.
