Mostly clear, sunny skies in Bay Area Monday
(BCN) — Monday calls for mostly clear and sunny skies with breezy conditions in the Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service.

Daytime highs will be in the mid 60s to low 80s along the coast, high 60s to mid 80s around the bay, and low 80s to low 90s inland. Overnight lows will be mostly in the mid 50s, with coastal areas dropping into the low 50s.

Forecasters expect clearer skies on Monday morning, with fewer areas seeing fog or drizzle. However, spots near the coast or bodies of water may still have some low clouds and patchy drizzle.

According to the NWS, temps will be cooler in wind-sheltered inland areas. Daytime temps will stay slightly cooler than usual for early August, but could be warmer in areas where the marine layer is thin.

Winds are expected to stay strong, especially near the coast and through valleys and mountain passes. Gusts could still reach 45 mph in windy areas like Altamont Pass into early Monday morning. Winds are expected to ease during the day, but coastal areas may still see gusts of 20 to 35 mph, according to the NWS.
