MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A woman was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder after the 2014 disappearance of her two children, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD).

Catherine Hoggle, 38, was indicted by a grand jury in the Montgomery County Circuit Court on Thursday, July 31.

According to police, her children, Sarah Hoggle, 3, and Jacob Hoggle, 2, were last reported seen with her in September 2014. Since then, multiple agencies have searched extensively for the children, but they have yet to be found.

Hoggle was arrested on Friday, August 1, in Kent County, Md., after being discharged from a psychiatric facility on July 23, where she was committed after being found incompetent to stand trial.

Police say Hoggle is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit as she awaits her bond hearing set for August 4 at 1:30 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Montgomery County Police Department or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
