WAYNESBORO, Miss. (WHLT) – A man was shot and killed while riding on a four-wheeler in Wayne County.

The shooting occurred on Sand Bottom Drive around 1:00 a.m. on August 3.

Wayne County Coroner Phillip Brewer said the victim was a 55-year-old man. His body was sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for an autopsy.

According to the coroner, multiple shell casings were found at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
