A recent study from Fruity King analyzed Google search data for all 32 NFL teams to determine which franchises have the most loyal followings. Researchers looked at average monthly search volumes and measured how much those numbers fluctuate from month to month—with fewer fluctuations indicating a more dedicated, steady fanbase.
From there, each team was awarded a loyalty score out of 10, with higher scores pointing to a fanbase that stays curious and connected year-round—not just during the season’s high points.
The top 10 teams with the most loyal fans:
| Rank | Team | Monthly Average Google Searches (12 months) | Average Month-to-Month Google Search Fluctuation | Total Fan Loyalty Score |
| 1 | Buffalo Bills | 6,820,853 | 48.60% | 7.8 |
| 2 | Dallas Cowboys | 11,382,558 | 55.80% | 7.4 |
| 3 | Kansas City Chiefs | 8,376,686 | 53.20% | 6.9 |
| 4 | Detroit Lions | 9,230,475 | 57.30% | 5.8 |
| 5 | Chicago Bears | 5,895,792 | 54.30% | 5.3 |

| 7 | Pittsburgh Steelers | 5,853,875 | 55.30% | 4.9 |
| 8 | Baltimore Ravens | 2,989,204 | 51.80% | 4.8 |

| 10 | Philadelphia Eagles | 5,822,655 | 57.20% | 4.2 |
According to research from Fruity King, the Buffalo Bills take the crown for the most loyal fans in the league. But don’t count Dallas Cowboys fans out just yet.
While the study shows Buffalo Bills have the most loyal fans in the NFL, Dallas Cowboys fans are still going strong. Cowboys Nation secured the second-highest loyalty score, earning a fan loyalty score of 7.4 out of 10. Plus, the study reveals that the Cowboys have the highest number of monthly Google searches out of any other NFL team, with an average of 11,382,558 searches each month.
However, the team’s fans showed more variation in their monthly search patterns, receiving a fluctuation score of 55.8%. This suggests that while the Cowboys have the largest fan base by search volume, their engagement fluctuates more throughout the years than most NFL teams.
Over on Instagram, the Dallas Cowboys have a high following of 4.9 million, but overall have a lower engagement rate in comparison to the Bills at 0.28%, suggesting that fans don’t regularly like, comment, or share the team’s Instagram uploads. But hey…it could be worse, right?
