Argument leads to shooting in Jackson: police

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a fight led to a shooting.

The incident occurred in the 4000 block of West Capitol Street around 8:00 a.m. on August 4.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said two men got into an argument, which turned physical. During the incident, one man was shot.

Brown said both men were transported to the hospital; one for a gunshot wound and the other for minor injuries.

The two men have not been identified.
