GREENWOOD, Ind. — Police say two people were found dead in a Johnson County home after officers were called for a welfare check.

Greenwood Police Department crews were called around 11:30 a.m. Monday to a house in the 600 block of Greenway Street for a welfare check. This is near U.S. 31 and Smith Valley Road in Greenwood.

Officers reportedly arrived and found two dead bodies inside the home. Police confirmed that at least one of the deceased is an adult. The age of the second is unclear.

GPD officials said they are now waiting on search warrants to fully enter the home and investigate. No other information was immediately provided.
