AMERICUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Americus Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting that left one person injured.
Police say on August 2, 2025 at 3:56 p.m., officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on Knollwood Drive to reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found one male victim with a gunshot wound.
The victim, who was not named, was transported from the scene by EMS personnel. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
Police ask that anyone with information related to the investigation call the Americus Police Department at 229-924-3677 or after hours at 229-937-9011.
