The community came out to help celebrate the ribbon cutting for Hollywood Quick Stop on Linwood Avenue. It was a proud moment for owner Eric Stephens, he said, “It means everything to have ownership. It’s a big step, but it means a lot.”
Stephens wants young people to realize the dream of business ownership. He said, “It’s just something that our kids need to see and something you know is very vital for them to see and know that they can do it, and it’s possible for them also.”
The chamber has more events planned for the business owners; they will be releasing a calendar soon with the month’s events. You can find it on the Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber Facebook page.
