Hayward police detain suspect after double shooting

(KRON) – A person has been taken into custody after two men were shot and injured in Hayward, according to the authorities. 

Hayward Police Department officers responded to Manon Avenue for the report of a shooting. Arriving officers located a 27-year-old man who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition.

Police said a second victim, a 20-year-old man, walked into St. Rose Hospital with a gunshot wound. He was treated and is listed in stable condition.

Hayward PD found a vehicle they believe was involved in the shooting and has taken a person into custody.
