Community comes together to support man injured in explosion

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A southern Illinois community is coming together to support a man injured in an explosion.

Randy Grimes was seriously injured after an explosion at an oil rig last week in Edwards County. Two other people were also hurt.

A fundraiser was held to help Grimes and his family as he recovers. Pork chops and hot dogs were sold to help raise money.

“I asked my wife about it on Monday, and by that night, we made it all happen. We sold about 400 pork burgers, 200 to 225 pork chops and 100 hot dogs,” said event organizer Bud Anthis.
