Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigating death in NoDa

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is conducting a death investigation in NoDa.

Around 3 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a call about assisting Medic on the 4000 block of Redwood Avenue. This is at the intersection of North Davidson Street and East Sugar Creek Road.

When they arrived, they found someone with life-threatening injuries who was taken to a local hospital, where they later died, officials said.

A Queen City News crew said Sugar Creek Road is blocked at Redwood Ave. No other details about the death or the victim have been released.
