Law enforcement is asking for the public’s help to gather more information about a shots-fired incident in Columbia Heights.
On Saturday at around 1:51 a.m., Columbia Heights police responded to a report of a car being shot at near the 1200 block of 43rd Avenue Northeast. Authorities add that no one was injured.
During the investigation, law enforcement found 45 discharged casings and believe a fully automatic weapon was used.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said they don’t think this was a random incident.
Authorities are asking anyone within a two-block radius of 43rd Avenue Northeast and Pierce Street Northeast with exterior cameras that recorded anything suspicious on Saturday between 1 and 2:15 a.m. to upload the footage to the evidence submission portal.
The sheriff’s office adds that you can call 763-427-1212 with any information involving the shots-fired incident.
