According to the Edina Police Department, three people were arrested late Friday night following a late-night break-in at the city’s Southdale library.
Around 10:42 p.m., police said officers responded to a burglary in progress at 7001 York Avenue at the Southdale library. Around 11 p.m., police said the area was secure and three people had been taken into custody.
Police told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that the suspects were a 41-year-old female, a 38-year-old female, and a 35-year-old male who were arrested in connection with the suspected burglary. At this time, it is unknown if any items from the library were stolen.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
