ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) – Pasta, Cannoli’s, and Italian culture are taking center stage across state lines.

The 99th annual Italian festival kicked off Friday in Enfield.

People are encouraged to stop by all weekend long for traditional food and music. Admission is three dollars for adults, and children 12 and under are free.

President of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Carl Sferazza told 22News, “We have a new food item this year called pasta rustica, so it’s ziti with broccoli, ground sausage, and a little Romano cheese. It’s been going out the door.”

If you missed out on Friday, the feast kicks off again on Saturday at five o’clock in Enfield.
