Pet of the Week: Meet Tess, a true companion at heart

CULLMAN, Ala. – Tess is the perfect combination of all that is good and kind in the dog world. At approximately 4.5 to 5 years old, this low-to-medium energy girl has an unassuming nature and a quiet way of stealing your heart. She is The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week!

Tess cherishes every moment you spend with her, finding joy in the simple things — especially the cool water of the kiddie pool, as long as you’re right there by her side. Her calm, gentle demeanor makes her an ideal candidate for a companion, reading or therapy dog.

“I just absolutely love this remarkable girl!” shared a caretaker at the shelter.

Tess’ adoption fee is $130, which includes spay, vaccines, microchip, wormer and a general vet exam.

Visit the shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. If Tess is already in her forever home by the time you visit, don’t worry — she has many friends at the shelter who are just as eager to meet you and find their own happy endings.
