The lieutenant governor plans to run for Dick Durbin’s vacated Senate seat in the upcoming election cycle.
She believes hearing Illinoisans’ concerns helps her become a well-rounded candidate.

So, this is an opportunity to have a very real conversation about the issues that matter most to them, the things that they care about.”
“What I hear is that people are looking for a fighter, and I want to bring that fight, and I want to do it, informed by these conversations,” Stratton continued.
Stratton plans to visit Naperville, Decatur and Metro East areas next.
