Floridian shot to death at Hillsboro hotel

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 44-year-old Floridian was shot to death at a Hillsboro hotel early Friday evening, and a Beaverton resident was arrested and booked for his murder.

Amir Heidar, 33, was booked into the Washington County Jail for second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon in the death of 44-year-old Yuri Gonzalez-Gonzalez, Hillsboro police said.

Police were called to the Extended Stay America on Northeast Cornell Road around 5 p.m. Friday after gunshots were heard. Heidar was arrested at the scene.

The investigation continues. It is not clear at this time what the relationship is between Gonzalez-Gonzalez and Heidar
