Weekend road closures impacting travel around the Twin Cities

There are a variety of construction projects that could get in your way this weekend if you’re traveling around the Twin Cities.

Eastbound 694 is closing at 10:00 p.m. Friday from Shingle Creek Boulevard in Brooklyn Center to Snelling Avenue in Arden Hills. MnDOT says drivers should detour using Highway 169 to Highway 610 to 35W. The stretch is set to reopen Monday at 5:00 a.m.

Highway 52 is closing in both directions between Concord Street and I-94. Northbound lanes will close from 7:00 p.m. Saturday to Monday at 5:00 a.m. The detour sends drivers from 494 to Highway 61 to Westbound 94.
