FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — A man and woman were arrested after a Wednesday traffic stop led to a drug bust, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department (FPD).

Police said an officer noticed a motorcycle with metal netting covering the license plate and pulled over the motorcyclist. There, the officer noticed the man was carrying a firearm that he did not have a permit to carry, as well as an expired license plate.

According to police, an officer retrieved a K9 that alerted to suspected narcotics, prompting a search of the motorcycle. Two zip-lock bags containing approximately 15 grams of methamphetamine, a small zip-lock bag with over 30 individual “dime” bags, and a black digital scale were seized.

Police said Louis Buttice III was charged with concealed carry violation, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm while in possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He is being held on a $10,000 secured bond:

Amber Sullivan was charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and is being held on a $5,000 secured bond.
