This N.W.A. rapper is coming to Salt Lake City in September

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — After over a decade, Ice Cube will be returning to the stage. One of his first stops is Salt Lake City.

Ice Cube, the hip-hop star and co-founder of N.W.A., is set to begin his “Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude” tour on Sept. 16, at Ball Arena in Denver.

His next stop will take him to the Maverick Center on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at icecube.com. He’ll be hitting other major U.S. cities including Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

The tour follows Cube’s latest album, “Man Down,” which recently debuted as a Top 10 Rap and independent release, according to a press release. Cube was also honored recently with a handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Ice Cube first rose to fame as a co-founder of the rap group N.W.A. He later launched a solo career as well as another supergroup called Mount Westmore with Snoop Dogg, E-40, and Too $hort. He went on to produce multiple film and television series including the Oscar-nominated film “Straight Outta Compton.”

Many recognize him from the hit films “Barbershop,” “21 Jump Street,” and “Ride Along.” Cube also co-founded the BIG3 basketball league.
